Llanfoist Fawr Community Council hold monthly meetings (usually the 3rd Wednesday of the month) but please see the "Meeting Dates" for confirmed details of dates and venues.
The Llanfoist Fawr Community Council are Statutory Consultees on planning matters for both Monmouthshire County Council and the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Planning matters are usually dealt with during the monthly Council meetings, however, occasional Planning Meetings are required to meet statutory deadlines so please refer to this website for the dates and venues of these as they occur.
At the meeting Community Councillors consider a range of local matters including, highways issues, planning matters and other local community issues.
The Llanfoist Fawr Community Council has a range of responsibilites including - Llanfoist Recreation Ground (Centenary Field), Llanfoist Multi Use Games Area, the Owain Glyndwr Playing Field, Llanellen, the King George V Playing Field, Govilon, the Govilon Sports Pavilion and the Salisbury Community Hall, Govilon. Llanfoist Fawr Community Council welcome members of the public to attend meetings of the council.
There is usually 10 minutes of "Public Speaking Time" available at the start of the monthly meetings during which members of the public are welcome to briefly speak with Community Councillors on issues relating to the local community. Please contact the Clerk in advance of the meeting should you wish to take up this opportunity.
